INTER-SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2026

Indus Valley World School successfully organized an Inter-School Basketball Tournament in collaboration with the West Bengal Basketball Association at Red Road, Kolkata, from 14th April 2026 to 18th April 2026.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 11 boys’ teams and 13 girls’ teams representing various reputed schools. The event promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.
The final matches commenced at 4:00 PM and were graced by the esteemed presence of President of West Bengal Basketball Association Mr. V. Solomon Nesa Kumar (IPS), Vice President Madam Prochi Mehta and Mr. K.P. Changiwala, CEO S.L. Gupta and Honourable Principal of Indus Valley World School, Ms. Reshma Bhattacharya. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Pradeep Kumar Auddy, Honourable General Secretary of the West Bengal Basketball Association. Several other distinguished guests also attended the event.
In the girls’ category, La Martiniere Girls’ School emerged as the champions after defeating St. John’s School with a score of 39–27 in a thrilling final match.
In the boys’ category, the host team from Indus Valley World School delivered an outstanding performance and advanced to the finals. They competed against Frank Anthony Public School in a closely contested match but finished as runners-up, with the final score being 38–47.
The tournament concluded on a high note, celebrating talent, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
