🌸 A Soulful Ode to the Bard of Bengal!
Indus Valley World School, Kolkata, reverently commemorated Rabindra Jayanti on 8th May 2026 with a transcendent cultural extravaganza entitled ‘Phire Chol Matir Tane’ — a magnificently orchestrated tapestry of mellifluous Rabindra Sangeet, resplendent choreography, and profoundly evocative stage performances, brought to life with consummate artistry by the exceptionally gifted students of Classes VIII to XI and distinguished faculty members, in a sublime celebration of the timeless genius of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. The illustrious gathering was graced by the esteemed presence of our honourable CEO Mr. S. L. Gupta and eminent luminaries — Dr. Sankha Basu,National Fellow on Museum Studies; member Trustee, Kolkata Museum of Modern Art; Dr. Swati Bhattacharya,,Associate Professor at Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata; Mrs. Suman Sood,the distinguished Director and Principal of BD Memorial Junior School and our Principal Mrs. Reshma Bhattacharya —along with the parents fraternity; as soul-stirring compositions such as Biswa Sathe, Bhenge Mor Ghorer Chabi, and Jogoto Jure Udar Sure reverberated through the auditorium, weaving an ineffable narrative of transcending life’s impracticalities and journeying back to one’s roots, one’s soil, and the very essence of purposeful existence.
