The corridors of Indus Valley World School, Kolkata, came alive with love, laughter, and the timeless spirit of Rabindranath Tagore as the Junior School celebrated a deeply heartfelt Family Day on 7th May, 2026 — where little hands traced traditional Alpona motifs on paper with eco-friendly colours under the theme “Amar Poribar,” voices young and seasoned blended in soulful Rabindra Sangeet, nimble feet danced to Tagore’s odes to nature, and kitchens of the heart came alive as families lovingly crafted simple Thakur Barir delicacies in a Non-Fire Cookery under the theme “Food Made with Love” — while the magic deepened further through heartfelt recitations of cherished poems and a graceful Fashion Show celebrating the elegant “Thakur Barir Poshak.”

Beautifully timed to honour the birth anniversary of the great Bard himself — whose philosophy seamlessly wove together family, nature, creativity, and education — this glorious celebration stood as a luminous reminder that a child’s journey grows strongest and most purposeful when tenderly nurtured by the combined embrace of school and home, forging bonds of shared experience, cherished memory, and enduring love that no classroom wall can ever truly contain. 🏠✨
