Yet, some things remain timeless – the innocent smiles of children, their curious faces, and their warm hugs. I feel blessed to be an educator, empowering young souls and creating possibilities. My experience as a short-term scholar at California State University reinforced the wisdom shared by my mentor, Sister M.Cyril Mooney: children remain the same, regardless of geographical boundaries. Classes in the US mirrored my Indian classroom – a testament to our shared humanity. The learning programs at CSU – Multiple Intelligence, Service Learning, Equity, and Equality – strengthened my approach. I incorporated these concepts into my lesson plans, realizing that Gen Z craves hands-on learning and technical expertise. Beyond textbooks, I have fostered experiential learning through competitions, programmes, and campaigns. Channeling energy into positive directions has yielded remarkable outcomes. One proud achievement is “Nurturing Young Minds in STEM,” a project supported by the US Consulate and American Centre. We created 600 young STEM Champions, who continue to excel.
To my dear students:
Stand with candor and confidence.
Compete with your best self.
Be uniquely you.
Pursue excellence; success will follow.
Keep smiling, enjoy yourself.
You are the best!”
