The Rotary Club of Kolkata Chowringhee has launched a year-long Teacher Training Programme at a school in Uluberia with the objective of enhancing teaching skills and enriching classroom practices.

On Saturday, 11 th October 2025, two teachers from Indus Valley World School, under the banner of the Interact Club, visited Rajapur Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama (Rotary Chowringhee Vidyalaya) to conduct the second teacher training session for the teachers of Grades 2 to 5. This session was one of the many training programmes planned as part of a year-long initiative aimed at strengthening teaching practices in the Ashrama school.

The session mostly focused on sharing teaching – learning methodologies with the dedicated team of teachers at the Ashrama School. Teachers from IVWS shared the importance of inter- disciplinary approach towards teaching and how it evokes interest for learning in young minds. The training also highlighted the importance of art integrated learning and its effectiveness in making topics interesting and learning fun for the students.

The teachers at the school in Uluberia were highly engrossed during the session and thought that the strategies shared with them would make their teaching all the more effective.
