The ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert was held with great enthusiasm on Saturday, 10th January 2026, marking a landmark event in the musical calendar of the city. The concert celebrated and felicitated students who secured Distinction in the ABRSM Practical Examinations conducted in November 2025, along with their dedicated mentors who guided them through their musical journey.
The event was particularly significant as it was the first High Scorers’ Concert to be held after the COVID pandemic, making it a truly historic occasion. It brought together the entire music fraternity of Kolkata, including eminent musicians, institutional heads, educators, parents, and students, all united in their shared passion for music and excellence.
Among the distinguished awardees were two outstanding students from our institution — Aarish Mukherjee of Class VI, who secured a Distinction in Singing, and Rayan Hasan of Class IV, who achieved a Distinction in Singing and the Piano respectively. Their achievements stood as a testament to their hard work, talent, and disciplined training.
The morning was further enriched by a series of captivating guest performances, featuring the SJH Chamber Trio, the Calcutta International School Junior Choir, the host school’s Choir, and the dynamic band ICARUS. Each performance added vibrancy and artistic depth to the programme, keeping the audience thoroughly engaged.
Overall, the ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert was an exciting and memorable celebration of musical excellence. The event was widely appreciated by all in attendance and served as an inspiring platform for young musicians to aspire, perform, and excel on an international stage.
