“Vande Mataram @150” Celebration

On 10th November, 10 students of Indus Valley World School participated in the prestigious event celebrating 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram.” The programme was organized by the Indian Museum, Kolkata under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal.

The event began with the Vande Mataram March from the Indian Museum to Raj Bhavan, Kolkata, led by His Excellency Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose. Around 700 participants, including students from renowned schools and social organizations, joined the procession, symbolizing unity and patriotic fervour.

A moment of special pride for the school came when Aratrika Mandal of Grade 8 was given the rare opportunity of accompanying the Hon’ble Governor in his car and leading the heritage walk.

The celebration concluded with a grand cultural programme at Raj Bhavan featuring classical dance performances that beautifully portrayed the spirit of devotion and patriotism embodied in Vande Mataram. The participants were presented with food packets and certificates, marking the end of a memorable and inspiring event.
