SCHOOL ACTIVITY

More than twenty enthusiastic students of IVWS of grades 9 and 11, accompanied by two teachers visited warships INS Khanjar( 34 years in service) and INS Kora at the Khidirpur Dock as part of the Navy week Celebration on 29th November. They gained a valuable insight into the usage of essential items like water poison detection kit which detects the harmful concentration of certain chemical agents like sulphur mustard and nitrogen mustard. The young minds were also captured by the wide display of certain arms and ammunitions. Inside the towering battle ships, they were shown the sensory systems and berthing areas which include shared bunks. As the navy personnel exhibited some damage control and combat strategies, the students realized how these brave men always put their life at stake only to ensure the safety and security of the nation. This entire experience with a difference evoked a feeling of patriotism among the youngsters who returned with a bouquet of pleasant memories.
