Indus Valley World School, one of the best CBSE Schools in Kolkata successfully hosted its Mini Sports Meet on 31st January 2026, celebrating enthusiasm, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship across Pre-Primary to Grade II.
The event began with the Mini Sports Meet for Grades I and II, marked by a dignified opening ceremony, flag hoisting, torch lighting, and the declaration of the meet open. The programme was graced by the Guest of Honour, Ms. Tania Sen, whose motivating words highlighted the importance of sports in holistic development. Well-coordinated drill displays reflected discipline and teamwork, while a variety of track, field, and activity-based races kept the audience engaged. Prize distributions for events such as Soft Ball Throw, Long Jump, Javelin Throw, and Tennikoit Throw, along with the recognition of Individual Champions, celebrated students’ achievements. A lively Parents’ Tug of War added joy and excitement to the day.
This was followed by the Pre-Primary Mini Sports Meet, where children from Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, and UKG participated with great enthusiasm. The event was honoured by the presence of Mrs. Kasturi Kejriwal, Chief Operating Officer, Aditya Group, whose encouragement inspired all present. Colourful drills, fun-filled races, and graceful yoga displays showcased the confidence and coordination of the young learners. Prize distribution after each segment ensured every child felt appreciated and celebrated. The Parents’ Tug of War once again brought cheer and togetherness to the occasion.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, leaving behind cherished memories and reinforcing the values of teamwork, participation, and sportsmanship.
